Hi so firstly thanks to everyone who has supported the club during this time. I hope you have all enjoyed the online training we have provided and I am really looking forward to getting back to training soon!!
Plans for the Future
*This post is based on the initial COVID 19 RESPONSE – SPRING 2021 released by the UK Government following the Prime Ministers speech to parliament on the 22nd February 2021. It will be kept up to date as information is released by the relevant government agencies.
29th March – outdoor sports and martial arts allowed to open. However due to the lack of public facilities eg toilets in our local parks we will be unable to provide training for our members. I understand some clubs may do this however we have always aspired to a high standard and having to relieve yourself in a bush is not in line with that as well as obviously it breaks several laws, COSHH and hygiene regs which as a business I imagine most people can appriciate the need to adhere to these regs.
Stage 2 Gyms Re-Open 12 April
Gyms are re-opening on the 12th. This is for people to train in individually or you are allowed to train with someone if you live with them. Our club will be open under these rules for our existing members only during which time they are allowed to come down during our open hours and train on their own. Our instructors are not allowed to instruct but we are allowed to be there to supervise so we will be there to make sure that everyone is safe and to abide by social distancing guidelines and respect the covid guidelines (hands, face, space)
You will still need to book in as per usual so that we ensure that there are not too many people in the gym at the same time as per government guidelines.
During this period as we are not allowed to teach we will unfortunately be unable to take on new members.
Indoor classes allowed to return. COVID control measures still in place and we will be limited to how many members are allowed to train at any one point. Social distancing in place. Full details not released by the government yet. This is probably for new members the date to put into your diary. We will not be letting everyone who wants to join come in at the same time as our priority is always to provide the best training as we can to our current members BUT you will be able to train with us but please understand that our priority is to provide the best service to our clients and so this will be staggered so everyone gets the best attention – both existing AND new members. We don’t want to have 50 new people join in a week where I don’t learn anyones name and we don’t provide the service we are known for.
Full contact to be allowed (possibly) this includes padwork, sparring, grappling, groundfighting eg BJJ/CACC
