What makes our self defence training different
A lot of self defence is either too sporty and rule based or too theoretical with no pressure. Our approach is simple.
- Realistic training for real behaviour such as aggression, surprise and stress
- High percentage techniques you can actually remember and use
- Pressure testing done safely so skills hold up under pressure
- Ego free culture where people train hard and look after each other
What you will learn
Self defence is not just techniques. It is awareness, decision making and having a small number of reliable tools that work when adrenaline hits.
Awareness and prevention
- Spotting danger early through positioning, exits and boundaries
- De escalation when it is possible
- Knowing when to leave, when to act and how to stay legally safe
Physical skills that matter
- Striking fundamentals including hands, elbows, knees and low kicks
- Clinch and grab defence including breaks, frames and escapes
- Takedown prevention and getting back to your feet safely
- Ground survival basics to create space, stand up and protect yourself
Common real world problems trained safely
- Wrist grabs, bear hugs and headlocks
- Close range threats
- Managing distance and escaping under pressure
What a class is like
Classes run for 90 minutes. Expect a proper workout, but everything is coached and scaled.
A typical session includes
- Warm up and movement prep
- Technique that is simple, repeatable and practical
- Partner drills starting controlled and building gradually
- Optional pressure or scenario drills where you can always train lighter
You are never thrown in. Confidence is built step by step and it carries over quickly.
